Harry & Morita

I am Harry, and the other Scarlet Macaw who lives here with me is Morita. I was kept as a pet and was later confiscated from my owner. When I arrived here, I was in poor health and showing signs of stress from being kept as a pet. I can fly, but I am too strongly imprinted to humans to ever be released back into the wild.

Morita was a wild macaw who arrived here with a severe wing fracture. Her recovery was long and difficult, and unfortunately, she will never be able to fly again. Because she can no longer fly, she cannot survive in the wild, so she now lives here with me.
