Nube

Species: Tamandua
Taxonomy: Tamandua mexicana
Story: My name is Nube. I arrived at the sanctuary as a tiny baby, much too young to be on my own. Those first weeks were uncertain. I was weak, struggling, and no one knew if I would make it. The team cared for me around the clock, and little by little, I started to grow stronger. As I got bigger, I learned how to climb, forage, and use my long tongue the way a tamandua should. Eventually, I reached the point where I could fend for myself. When the time was right, I was released, healthy, capable, and ready for the wild life I was meant to have from the start. That’s my story: a rough beginning, a lot of care, and finally, freedom.
